We follow a Lean Coffee format in which participants suggest and vote on topics to build the agenda and discuss each topic for a fixed time, voting again to continue discussion on the same topic or move on to the next topic.
Because our theme is startups, pretty much any topic goes! Our previous topics have varied widely, from fundraising and social equity to lean product experiments and development shops to technical co-founders and psychedelic-induced “flow” states.
We meet in-person in NYC on the first Wednesday of every month.

We meet on Upstream, which provides a fast, fun way to make new connections and quickly figure out if you want to schedule a more formal meeting! Upstream Video Breakout events start with a quick introduction. You’ll then be matched for a series of 4-minute 1:1 video chats with other attendees with whom you can choose to exchange contact information and arrange for follow-up meetings.
That's up to four new connections in 20 minutes!
I conduct office hours on Upstream, which handles all of the scheduling and video communications for us. Just select a 15 minute slot and wait for my confirmation. Then, when the time comes, join our session using the Upstream app.
